| Look right in front of James to find the hard-core Miami kids. They were great, in spite of having people climbing over top of their heads all night!

| I was just thinking back over what a great night we had for the forum party. The weather was perfect - sometimes for outdoor shows in Florida it's either too hot or rainy. Last night there was a light breeze and the sky was clear.
Everyone watched out for each other, and made sure nobody was left behind or unhappy. Against Me! should be very proud to have such a great bunch of fans.
The only really negative thing was the lag in texting. It was like messages were going from St. Pete down to Sarasota and looking around town for me there before bouncing back to Jannus Landing. Honestly, someone would text that they had arrived, and then 20 minutes later when we were standing together my phone would buzz with the message.
But the best part of all is tonight we get to do it again! I won't be online much from Orlando, but am so excited to see the updates to this thread when the rest of our St. Pete photos get posted.
And maybe there will be leftover cupcakes on the bus! _________________ ... we rock - because it's us against them, we found our own reasons to sing |

For reference, Warren's sister is in pink, Jessica (Hyperballad) is in the black T-shirt, and I'm the one in the striped shirt.
I clap funny. I did not realize that. Perhaps I won't do it in public from now on. _________________ We should always carry our history with us but never let it bury us.

| Okay, I'm going to try to talk about the show without babbling. I'm still reeling a little.
Okay, so pre-show.
I arrived to find the Miama crew, Flip, Hyperballad and Scarlett sitting outside chilling with Drumma and Warren, and the first thing I did was get big hugs from everyone. We sat and hung out--Warren is so patient and gracious, and managed to chill with us while still giving time to everyone who came up to say hello and wanted a picture. He spent most of the time before the show outside talking to everyone and posing for the camera. We got one of Kyle and Warren giving the thumbs up (which I hope to God someone sends to Tom), and one of Kyle and Andrew holding the thumbs up position with their thumbs missing (Andrew made a sad face as he looked at his missing thumb; it was classic). Oh, and Kyle was late late late, and missed most of the fun in the beginning, but it was really funny because he came with his brother and friends who had NO IDEA what was going on. He hadn't informed them of any meet up, and when I saw him I shouted "KYLE!!" and ran over and grabbed him by the arm and dragged him over to Drumma and Warren. I'm sure they were very surprised. Andrew and his wife came out to say hi, and they both posed for pictures. Andrew's wife is so sweet and totally adorable, and I got to shop for earrings with her (there are vendors outside) and chat for a bit. Love her! Andrew is also incredibly patient and posed for pictures with everyone. Jordan came out for a quick second, too, and got really excited over the prospect of cupcakes (which Scarlett brought for us). Drumma told him that everyone on the forum thought he was sexy, and he laughed. James was a no show (he's shy, but Hyperballad managed to score a photo with him later). Heather came out and said hi and posed for pictures with her sexy new bangs. Tom ran by a couple of times and avoided looking at everyone as much as he possibly could. Future of the Left played, and we all stayed outside to keep hanging out (and wait for Kyle), and they were really good. They have this good stomping dance beat, and at some point all of us broke into a spontaneous dance party, Warren included. That was one of the most fun moments.
Then we went inside for the actual show. We got separated from Kyle because he is a loser. The rest of us stood together and danced to Ted Leo, which was awesome--I'd never heard them before and I was surprised how fun and danceable we are. So this was dance party number 2 within an hour, if you're keeping count. So, Ted Leo ends and we are waiting for AM! to come on. This is where gets really fun. Let's backtrack for a minute. So, just yesterday I was talking to my friend Nicole from work who just recently moved back to St. Pete. She is originally from Sarasota. I think you know where this is going. We were talking about activism in the city, and she casually asked, "So do you know the Against Me! kids?" I said, "You mean Against Me like my favorite band in the world Against Me?" Turns out she knows Warren and Drumma from back in the day, and even helped start the Third Place. I had not known this. So, I try to convince her to come to the show, and she says maybe. So, back to the show, right before they come on I get a text message from Drumma saying she has two access passes, and would Hyperballad and I like to come back stage? Um, yes. Turns out Nicole had gotten hooked up with a few passes, and her friends couldn't come, so she asked Drumma to find me and give me a pass. Hyperballad got one because her birthday is Tuesday. So, we go up and get to watch the stage from above Jannus! We could go anywhere with the passes, so we ran up and down for various songs--for instance, Walking is Still Honest and TSR, the latter which they played by request. Thank you AM! Afterwards Hyperballad scored some pictures with Andrew and the elusive James, while I stayed with Drumma and got to go into the actual backstage area where everyone was hanging out, and got to chat with Warren's sister and Drumma and Nicole for a bit. I also met James' sister, who is cool and looks a lot like James. Then I went and grabbed a shirt (the guitars one which has been on backorder on the website for forever) from the merch table, and we went to the bus. Scarlett got her cupcakes, and we gave them to the band. A girl came up and told Warren it was her 14th birthday, so he brought one out for her and sang Happy Birthday to her. The girl was so happy she hugged Scarlett. Tom came out and posed briefly for some group shots with us, and then left to go back on the bus. After chatting a little bit longer, we reluctantly said goodbye and Scarlett gave me a ride home so I wouldn't have to walk because she is a dear.
To recap: Kyle: Late. Also, famous. Warren and Andrew were both like, "Oh, THIS is the guy." Scarlett: Totally adorable, and had the best band t-shirt (Bikini Kill for the win). I'm so sorry I didn't eat a cupcake. I'm totally craving one now and kicking myself, but when I got there my mouth felt like cotton from walking so far and I couldn't handle it. I definitely wanted one after the show, but I didn't want to steal them from the band. Miami crew: Hardcore. Can I please come to Miami to party with you, and will you make me AM! shoes? Thanks. (One of the girls had these hand-painted AM! themed shoes that were so badass.) Hector: Best dancer on the forum. Flip: Best photographer on the forum. We seriously loaded this guy up with 8 cameras at a time and he didn't bat an eyelash, and got great pictures. Hyperballad: Best birthday ever? I hope so! We got to rock out together while keeping an eye on the other forum kids ( I saw you finally get up front Kyle!) from upstairs. Drumma: So sweet, and so accomodating, took care of all of us and made sure we had an amazing time, which we did. Warren: Kindness and patience for everyone, and though I'm sure he would rather have had some private time before the show, made time for everyone. Andrew: So handsome with his new haircut and shaved (sorta) face, and very affable and funny. Andrews wife: A doll. The band: Awesome performance, as usual. Amazing setlist. After hearing the acoustic song, I'm even more excited for the EP.
I think that's all...I will post pictures as soon as I get them uploaded, so give me a couple of days cause it's not my camera.
I've been smiling all day because of last night. _________________ We should always carry our history with us but never let it bury us.

| I wanted to add that I'm so happy to have had your company, guys. I usually go to shows by myself, so having people to sing along and dance with made it way better. _________________ We should always carry our history with us but never let it bury us.

| it was so much fun. I just want to add some points about my experience, since Kelly explained pretty much everything: - Warren is really funny. I put on my sunglasses and made fun of snobby hipster kids, and he said "you're not a kitten, you're a cat". so great. - talking about politics with someone who's in one of your favorite politically active bands is awesome. - the aftershow was full of creepers. this one guy came up to us, and then just left. this other (probably drunk) guy in a Rays shirt and "ray hawk" was pounding fists with us and was getting all excited about the Rays.
I thought I had more to say, but I forget at the moment. I'm sure I'll bring it up anyway. |

| hey guys we just got into Gainesville a couple hours ago, very sore from last night. I had an awesome time last night. Everyone is so awesome. Drumma is the sweetest person in the world! You can tell she is so proud of warren!
Unfortunately I can't check out the videos since I'm on the mobile.
We are busy making custom shoes for the boys, hopefully they will rock them on stage!
I won't be able to post any of my pics till I get home.
By the way, drumma if you see this can you see if warren or one of the guys can meet us before the show so we can give them the shoes? Thanks in advance _________________ you look like I need a drink |

| Hey Kyle, how did you explain everything to your friend and brother? And why is your brother so scary. _________________ We should always carry our history with us but never let it bury us.
