| Against Me! has toured with so many distinct bands... there is no way you could say that Mastedon, Lucero, Cobra Skulls or The Gaslight Anthem sound anything like each other... so which was your favorite line up and where did you see them play? |

| I saw Against Me! with Riverboat Gamblers/Fake Problems here in Edmonton, March 30 2007. I didn't really like one of them, but loved the other. I forget which is which, honestly. The one that I couldn't stand was the one with the lead singer who wore tight ass pants and make up and acted like a spaz. They had a couple of okay songs, but they just acted like assholes on stage. The other band was solid, though. _________________ "Would Hamlet have felt the delicious fascination of suicide if he hadn't had an audience, and lines to speak?" ~ Jean Genet

| I would have to go with World Inferno, Cobra Skulls, and Sage Francis at the Metro in Chicago. |

| I'd love to see Against Me! become one of those bands that has no opening band. I saw Rush once and they just played for a couple of hours, no messing around with an opening act. Am I the only person who actually hates opening acts, for the most part? Maybe it's just Edmonton, because the philosophy around here seems to be that the opening acts should be the complete opposite of the headliner. It's a punk show? The opening acts will be an R&B singer and a Ukrainian folk dancer. Jazz? Then we're going to have 45 minutes of speed metal, and an hour of emo before the jazz band comes out. As far as I can tell, venue owners in Edmonton are all retarded. Or maybe Canadian acts are to blame. Not a lot of good music in Canada, as most of the talent seems to immigrate to the US, where all the money is. _________________ "Would Hamlet have felt the delicious fascination of suicide if he hadn't had an audience, and lines to speak?" ~ Jean Genet

| I'm not a big fan of opening acts, either, for some reason. I've skipped opening bands at AM shows in the past, but I did enjoy them with Sage Francis because it was unexpected, for me at least. I didn't know who he was before, but I enjoyed it a lot. |

| Actually, I do take that back. I've seen some amazing opening acts in my day. .......it's just that I've seen even more awful ones. And lately, I've seen some awesome headlining acts play for LESS TIME than the fifteen opening bands. I think I just get mad when I pay money to see a band, then have 5 hours of high school kids completely failing to play their instruments followed by 30 minutes of awesome. But like I said, I think it's just Edmonton, and the venues that are run by morons. _________________ "Would Hamlet have felt the delicious fascination of suicide if he hadn't had an audience, and lines to speak?" ~ Jean Genet
