| the acoustic version of it is very bland. all of the vocals are exactly the same. theres just no band, just an acoustic guitar. i bought it on itunes hoping it would be much better _________________ http://www.recordnerd.com/lists/dandangoose/

| | First of all, it's spelled "magnanimous". Second, who are you, Greg Graffin? Also, I get the feeling you meant to say "monotonous". |

| | yea the ''official'' acoustic studio versions of new wave and animal are just acoustic takes of the songs with the original master tape vocals put ontop..seems like something that was rushed to be put out, a full band studio acoustic version of new wave would sound quite good. |

| Yea I don't get why everyone calls that Animal 'demo', or whatever it is, acoustic. It's electric ..just stripped down. _________________ so whats the use of going outside it's so depressing when people die in real life |

| Indeed, but (for the 200th time) it wasn't til I'd heard that "demo" or whatever the hell it is that I really began to appreciate animal.
It's one of my favourite New Wave songs now. _________________ The sun's always rising in the sky somewhere...

| I love the "acoustic" version of "Animal". I didn't know that was the demo version in the audio section, I downloaded it, but never listened to it because I knew not knowing what it was would drive me mad. It's an iTunes only release, attached to the Thrash Unreal single, so technically it's a Thrash Unreal b-side. Ditto for the acoustic version of New Wave.
I'd love to hear New Wave done in that style. I think it suits AM! very well.....I'm hoping they'll go insane one day and do a double album like that lame Foo Fighters one that's half electric and half acoustic. AM! could pull that off. _________________ If you stand up like a nail then you will be knocked down / I've been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else |

| I remember reading an interview with Tom in an AMP magazine where he was asked if he'd ever make an album that was only acoustic songs. He said he wouldn't rule the possibility out and he went on to say that a dream of his has always been to record an album three different ways and release them all simultaneously- one version acoustic, one version electric, and one version electronic music.
I think it'd be pretty cool. _________________ I've looked at life from both sides now. From win and lose, and still somehow, It's life's illusions I recall. I really don't know life at all. |

| That'd be even better... They should get Andy C (UK DnB god) on the case for the electronic version, that'd be brutal. _________________ The sun's always rising in the sky somewhere...
