i just learned my first bass riff

Basically, but there is an art to the bass that guitar players can never seem to hammer down. Go listen to some Victor Wooten.

Although his brother does the same thing on guitar, so I guess I'm just completely wrong.

A couple of reasons:

(1) I hate ska, and was tired of being asked to be in ska bands.
(2) I picked up the saxophone, as my approach to musical instruments is to play them until I figure out how they work, then play something else. Before the trombone, I was playing violin and cello.
