i feel this song is about all the pressure they were reciveing from all the different record labels

unprotected(they never had a major label)
multiple parteners(record labels)

and the part about "go buy our record and see could be a joke about "selling out"
but it also shows how no one really knows how it is "on the inside"

I always thought that the answer to "do you wanna know how it feels on the inside?" was the songs title - unprotected sex with multiple partners...
but the meaning of the song is laid out pretty obvious.. still perfectly crafted lyrics.

I think this song is fantastic and the track name is brilliant....my one problem with this song would be the repeating of "on the inside"...i would have preferred the song to end after the second chorus...short and sweet like the am! of old Very Happy

So so far every time I go into a board discussing song titles it some how turns into AIDS/HIV or Tom wanting to be a woman.
Now, here is a crash course on HIV/AIDS for all you little children out there who have no idea the difference between the two and what just randomly throwing it out there does to people.
HIV you can live pretty much a normal life with, its when you go under a certian amount of White(i believe) blood cells when you get AIDS and your life span is shorten dramitically.
Not everyone who has HIV will get AIDS.
Trust me on that one.
Now, just throwing it out there and making it sound like something bad and dirty and only sluts, gay men/women and junkes have it is wrong, on so many levels.
And a small percentage of the time, people who contract HIV, get it from the simplest of ways, like they don't know the person they are with has it.

This song is very clear what it is about.
Its about the record industry,
if anyone here has seen their DVD, 'We're never going home' you can see how that song came into play.
Record labels fighting over them, and then messing them around.
the whole speel about how they promise one thing and deliver another.
That is how Unprotected Sex with Multiple Partners came to be.

i could have used a staduim chant at the breakdown where its like

"on the inside on the inside do you wanna know how it feels to be on the inside"

if they had gotten a whole crap load of people to sing that part it would be an epic win!
