Rice and Bread old arrangement

On a live at the commons grounds audio i downloaded, from here i think, the song is totally wacked, and must have been recored shortly before they recorded EC, Did they re arrange the song in the studio or whats the deal? fill me in?

well i would assume that they were trying out a few different ways of playing it and the one on the album and the one on the boot are those.

I'm not sure, I just heard that version too and I thought it was really interesting. I don't think they ever really talked about it, I'm sure they just re-worked it over and changed it while recording.

i like th EC one alot

how can you not find everything you need in all of this? potatoes, rice, and bread, we'll burn it as we take it in. sing your heart out, sing it like you mean it, you're gonna sing everything you're thinking, and you're gonna sing it until they're listening. cause if it really brings us all together, i'd say that settles all arguments of difference, surviving just by questioning, can you imagine if we all started demanding? i can play along to every record, front and back every song, and every word means as much to me as every word means to you. they can make an industry selling people the things they want to hear, if this is worth anything, we will sell it for humility, it will take us farther than the posture you're fronting.

Where did you hear that? I don't remember ever playing it live. I did a demo of it once on my 4-track, but that's it. I remember the lyrics to the chorus were...
