sounds like maybe he had a fire that he doesn't anymore. that hes dusty because he said 'I KNEW all the ..."

or maybe a feel of the man who put him down or he had to grow up and in a way he conformed. the guns being life and having to get a job and do stuff to provide for your family.

i think its mostly about how he isn't what he used to be.

It sounds like an anthem for the 30 year old punk, and I'm sure a lot of people can relate to it.

It really seems like its the natural progression that people go through as they grow up. Does it seem to anyone else, like any sort of "rebellion", or even "teenage angst" as a whole is futile? Realizing that everyone, even Tom grows up, and develops different, more mature, realistic views, makes it seem like any protesting, or swimming against the current you do as a teenager is just a waste of time. We're all going to grow up, get jobs, have families and live normal lives, that we once thought would never happen.

Maybe I should just go back to school already.
