I know. I keep giving the front man shit because he just refuses to do anything serious with the band, and now they are apparently no more. Dude's gone off to do "experimental" music that no one will ever listen to. I hate seeing someone so fucking talented just refuse to use it. If I had a tenth of what he has, I'd sing on street corners if I couldn't get a stage.
Ah well. Please share the EP with everyone and anyone. At least that recording will live on. I've got their original demo which is also fantastic, and includes a song performed entirely on a 25 cent toy keyboard. I'll upload it somewhere....one minute. _________________ You were afraid you'd be the devils red wife/ But it's alright God dug yer dance/ and would have you young and in his harem/ Dress you the way he wants cause he never had a doll/ 'Cause everybody made him a boy/ and God didn't think to ask his preference. | Here you go, THE COMPLETE Dry County recordings. There aren't many, but they're fucking fantastic, the lot of them.

30 megs of so.
There is a recording of the singer/guitarist playing a song in my bedroom. I don't know why. But it's a funny performance. _________________ You were afraid you'd be the devils red wife/ But it's alright God dug yer dance/ and would have you young and in his harem/ Dress you the way he wants cause he never had a doll/ 'Cause everybody made him a boy/ and God didn't think to ask his preference. | Some of these are bands of kids in my recording classes. My favorite is CS & Lewis, Lewis was in my recording class...he has a pretty awesome voice. http://www.myspace.com/csandlewis
http://www.myspace.com/fttpop
From the Top ..we recorded them, they remind me a lot of Blink 182. Just fun pop punk stuff. http://www.myspace.com/siko
I hate this band but everyone in my town loves them, tell me I'm not the only one. _________________ I love you like a child of mine I wish more like a friend sometimes But hey, that's still love anyway

| Yeah, those Myspace demos don't really do CS & Lewis justice, the dudes an awesome piano player. Loud though, I stayed in the room and practically went deaf.
It was sad because the singer from From the Top wasn't ready to do is vocals, but he did them anyway. Holy shit it was so bad, hahah. We used auto tune just for fun and it didn't improve it at all. I guess pop punk isn't known for their vocal ability. _________________ I love you like a child of mine I wish more like a friend sometimes But hey, that's still love anyway

Well what we got up is just a shitty home recording we did in my bedroom and the vocals in a closet.
We have about 7 more songs that are way more folkier...and I wish we could hurry up and finish recording so we could get em up. But yea We play in the pcola area alot and in june were heading over to Mississippi if anyones from over there and later in june/july we'll be heading down to Gainsville if anyone is in the area! ^.^ |

Hey man I really like your band, the little kid drum set is bad ass, I really like the vocals too, usually vocals can ruin a band, but not yours. |

Thanks for the kind words! Hah yea we had the first act drum set for like...18 shows...I liked how they sound but my amp would almost always over power it....even when set on like 1 or 2 for the volume. We have a Gretsch now. I dunno, I am the singer but I always thought my vocals sounded strange. Well they do to me anyways haha But thanks for liking them! We'll have our full cd recorded soon (hopefully) so add us if youd like and when Its done I could mail ya a cd! |

dude, Capgun Coup is so awesome live, I was never a Bright Eyes fan, being form Omaha, we get jam packed full of his shit. His band is not that bad actually, they have become alot less emo, but Connor still sounds like he's dying when he songs. If Capgun ever tours again, you should totally see them.
I actually know guys in Capgun and Bear Country, they play shows together a lot, and it actually gets pretty packed, it's good shit. |
