| I wanted to make a thread for The Dry County (http://www.myspace.com/thedrycountyfl), a band some friends of mine are in, but no one would care because it's just a bunch of Tampa kids (813 - represent!).
So let's all pimp bands that we love, but which are just a bunch of local kids.
The rule, though, is that they have to be good bands, and not just people you know who suck, but you like your friends.
So check out The Dry County (http://www.myspace.com/thedrycountyfl). Especially the song "Not A Lot of People". My brother is the one on drums. He's an amazing player, and he taught himself by going to a music shop for an hour a week and playing the demo kit for a couple of years.
My brother is now in Stalling Dawn (http://www.myspace.com/stallingdawn). I don't like them much, but some people here may. Pop punk.

great great great great great band, i used to see them at little skate parks around here, and now they're touring japan. if you can, download hope and rage on itunes, it's totally different from the stuff on their myspace and it's so good. aside from op ivy, these guys made me love punk rock. |

I swear I've seen these guys before. I like the music though, the lead singer could be an octave lower, but it's still awesome. Thanks for the link.
