yeah when i went to london i searched high and low for a memorial to joe somewhere and i couldnt find anything.
someone should make some kind of memorial tribute like this one in london.

hey im new here. the clash and am! are beautiful all opinion mind you. Anyway i dont currently have a digital camera but i do have a tattoo. i love the song spanish bombs the lyrics, music its amazing. anyway i got a heart bomb tattoo and the am! lightning bolts

I do too!!! I have a half sleeve of Joe Strummer... it's the portrait of him on the typewriter. No band compares in my mind to The Clash... minutes after I first heard them years and years ago I knew they would be my favorite.

That is really cool, what's being typed. The only thing I'd say is that it doensn't look 100% like him, but nevertheless better than a generic clash tattoo

Yeah, alot of the detail had to be made up cause it's from such a blurry image:



but from what he could, he did it perfect... like the little tiny stray hair, I didn't even notice that in the picture till I got the tat done. I figure if I ever fade out of the clash (which I doubt) I'm still a writer so that's what it also is.

wow thats pretty good.
i wouldnt have gotten one so big, but they did a nice job.

at first glance i thought it didnt really look like his face, but after comparing it with the original its almost 100% spot on.
